DMW WORLDWIDE WINS ZEPHYR AND NEOGRAPHICS AWARDS

Wayne, PA — August 7, 2006 — Warren Hunter, president and CEO of DMW Worldwide, announced that the agency has been honored by both the Zephyr and Neographics awards competitions. 

DMW and client Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas won a 2006 Zephyr Award for its direct response television commercial called “Party Line.” The client’s objective was to sell AffordaBlue, an individual health insurance plan for Kansas residents under age 65, to those that don’t have group health insurance coverage. 

The top-line marketing strategy was to develop a visually distinctive, high-energy spot that would be universally appealing to various target audience segments, and to beat the target cost-per-inquiry and response rate of the current control. The “Party Line” spot uses live-action actors transformed into colorful silhouettes and then carefully matched to selected stock motion footage of target audience segments. A palette of bright colors combined with high-end graphics and movement creates strong visual interest, as well as a sense of excitement and involvement. 

The “Party Line” concept pulled benefits and a sense of urgency/call-to-action together into a visually stimulating spot that is decidedly novel, upbeat, and motivating. The cost per lead was 24% lower than the control and it generated 61% more leads than the control.  

DMW’s self-promotional effort, The Story of Goldie Lockes and What a Bear It Is to Hire an Agency — a contemporary, feel-good tale designed to counsel marketers in search of an agency that’s “just right” for them — won a Franklin Award for Excellence in the Self Promotion category of the 2006 Neographics Awards. The colorful and creatively illustrated book, supported by a Web site (www.dmwjustright.com), made its debut at the Direct Marketing Association’s 87th Annual Conference & Exhibition. The book also was honored with an ADV Philly Gold award last year.
