DMW WINS REGIONAL AWARDS

Wayne, PA – May 16, 2005 – Warren Hunter, president of DMW, a full-service direct response advertising agency, announced that the agency has received several honors from regional awards competitions.
The direct response television spot developed for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield called “Your Move” took home a Philly Gold award in the “60 Second or Over Local Television” category. The creative execution, which replicated an animated game board, has also won a 2004 PDMA Benjamin Franklin Award, Aurora Platinum Best in Show, Videographer Award of Excellence, and was a finalist in the Caples and the Telly Awards competitions.
The agency’s self-promotional effort, The Story of Goldie Lockes and What a Bear It Is to Hire an Agency – a contemporary feel-good tale designed to counsel marketers in search of an agency that’s “just right” for them – was a finalist, winning a Philly Gold Award for Excellence. The colorful and creatively illustrated book, supported by a Website (www.dmwjustright.com), made its debut at the Direct Marketing Association’s 87th Annual Conference & Exhibition.
The ADV Philly Gold awards, which honor the Greater Philadelphia Region’s direct and branded advertising efforts, received 1,500 entries from 200 entrants. Winners were announced at the annual awards party in Philadelphia, PA. Twelve highly credentialed judges from agencies located in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles selected this year’s winners.
DMW also won first-place awards at the New Jersey Business Marketing Association Impact Awards gala celebration. The Impact Awards honor business-to-business marketing that exemplifies creative excellence and effective communications.
The Story of Goldie Lockes and What a Bear It Is to Hire an Agency received an Impact Award in the “Agency Promotional Piece” category. Tom Hurley, president of the agency’s not-for-profit division, was also recognized, winning an Impact Award in the “Feature Article” category for his “In the Trenches” column that appears regularly in Fundraising Success magazine.
