DMW WORLDWIDE BIG WINNER IN PHILLY GOLD AWARDS TELEVISION CATEGORY

Competition recognizes agency’s response-generating direct response television commercials with four awards including “Best of Direct Marketing”
end-of-year speaker


Wayne, PA — August 7, 2006 — Warren Hunter, president and CEO of DMW Worldwide, announced that the agency’s work has been honored by the Philadelphia Advertising Awards with four “Philly Gold” awards, among them “Best of Direct Marketing.”  

“Test Drive,” a television spot created by DMW for The Hartford was honored by the Philly Gold awards as “Best of Direct Marketing.” A second award was given to this effort in the “TV/Film/Video Design/TV Graphics — Single :30 or Less” category. “Test Drive” features a couple who achieves ownership of their dream car and learns how they can save money on their auto insurance by switching to AARP’s coverage through a friend at the dealership. The spot blends high production value — important to both AARP and The Hartford brands — with a strong direct response message, including slice-of-life vignettes, an on-camera spokesman, and strong call to action. This effort also won Telly and Videographer awards this year. 

“Pinball,” a direct response television commercial developed by DMW for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Midwest) was recognized in two Philly Gold television categories: “TV/Cable Commercials/Local — :60 or More” and “TV/Film/Video Design/TV Graphics — Trade Films/Video; Promotional Video/Film.” With new players entering the individual health insurance market in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, Anthem wanted an attention-getting spot that would both showcase program advantages and differentiate them from the competition. Positioning Anthem as “still the best game in town,” this animated spot uses a pinball game board and live ball to demonstrate all the bells and whistles associated with Anthem’s individual products. This commercial also won a 2006 Telly Award and a Videographer Award.
