BRING HOME HONORS AT 2004 NATIONAL MATURE MEDIA AWARDS

Wayne, PA – September 16, 2004 – DMW and clients Independence Blue Cross and BlueCross and BlueShield of South Carolina were honored at the 2004 National Mature Media Awards presentation.
The 13th Annual National Mature Media
AwardsSM recognize the best in advertising, marketing, and educational materials produced for older adults. The awards program, presented by the Mature Market Resource
CenterSM, is a national clearinghouse for the senior market. The winners were selected by a distinguished panel of judges from across the United States, representing years of expertise serving the mature market.
The “Years/Life” lead generation package developed by DMW for
Independence BlueCross won a Bronze Award in the Direct Mail Advertising category of the Healthcare division. This winning direct mail effort focuses on new health and wellness benefits. While careful not to lose sight of the overarching Keystone 65 product positioning – which includes
comprehensive coverage and predictable costs – this package highlights better health management. The “Years/Life” package brings the reimbursement program, which includes cash back for losing weight, quitting smoking, and joining a gym, to the forefront. The target is those consumers who want better control over out-of-pocket healthcare costs and who want to take chare of their health.
In the Direct Mail Advertising category of the Insurance division,
BlueCross and BlueShield of South Carolina’s “Coming Up” package earned a
Merit Award. DMW developed this “seasonal” direct mail package as part of the carrier’s annual spring enrollment campaign. The targeted message: “Spring is the time to plant the seeds for savings – and reap the benefits all year long,” is brought to life through bold use of color and springtime graphics carried throughout. A free premium – a seed packet – is included.
